Almost 160 stranded Nigerians return from Niger
A further 158 Nigerian migrants stranded in Niger Republic have returned home.
The migrants, who arrived at the International Airport in Abuja Nigeria on 29 July, were received by officials of five Nigerian government agencies.
“All 158 evacuees tested negative for COVID-19 and are now on a 14-day self-isolation as mandated by NCDC, Federal Ministry of Health and the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19,” the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) stated in a press statement.
