I regret embarking on the journey, says Libyan Returnee

Terry Ikponmwosa, a Nigerian returnee from Libya has expressed deep regret of his irregular migration experience. He said he was sold four times during his unsuccessful attempts to reach Europe through Libya.

Only four of the 36 people that left Nigeria for Libya survived due to inhuman conditions on the journey, said 31-year-old Terry.

According to him, he embarked on the journey after raising a sum of one million Naira from his cement business which he abandoned for his quest for “more money”.

“While in the prison, I regretted embarking on the journey because I suffered all through,” Terry said.
