This handbook is as a practical manual and guide for teachers when conducting awareness-raising sessions on irregular migration and its alternatives among students aged 13 – 18 years.

About Caged Dreams



De comic book ‘Caged Dreams’ tells de story of two young Nigerians; Tomilade and Joshua. Tomilade nah young woman wey wan go to England but ends up trafficked to France. De book also follows Joshua, A young Nigerian man on a journey to Germany to become a footballer. Instead, he find himself for Libyan detention centre.

De comic book nah to train teachers for schools and education centres for Lagos and Edo states. Dese teachers dey disseminate dis comic books among deir students as part of deir awareness-raising classroom sessions. De stories from dis comic book go help de students internalise de information about de realities of irregular waka abroad and human trafficking by engaging dem with an emotive story. De students go read and discuss dem during de sessions and complete de included activities. Dey go den dey able to take am home to share with deir families.
