Greece: Thousands of migrants left homeless after fire destroys Moria camp
Almost 13,000 migrants are homeless after fast-moving fires destroyed the largest migrant camp in Europe on the Greek island of Lesbos.
The Moria camp, which was designed to shelter no more than 3,000, caught fire on 8 September. Residents fled the camp with their belongings; some suffering from smoke exposure.
Although it is not yet clear who set fire to the camp, Michalis Fratzeskos, deputy mayor for civil protection, confirmed that the blaze was premeditated.
