Greece extends quarantine for migrants until July 5
Despite easing some coronavirus-related restrictions, Greek migration authorities have extended lockdown for more than 120,000 migrants and asylum seekers in camps and detention centres until July 5.
Eva Cosse, from Human Rights Watch in Athens said that while restrictions on mobility “must be based on scientific evidence, neither arbitrary nor discriminatory in their application… respectful of human dignity and subject to review.” She added: “The camp lockdowns do not meet these criteria.”
