Boat Mishap: Libyan Red Crescent recover bodies of four children
The bodies of four children aged between five and ten have been recovered ashore Libyan waters after a migrant boat sank on 16 December, according to the Libyan Red Crescent.
The boat carrying 30 people sank in the Zawiya area of Libya, said Red Crescent’s Hassan Mokhtar al-Bey.
He added that three of the bodies were recovered 45km from Tripoli, and the fourth farther west. Meanwhile, other passengers on the boat are yet to be found.
Hundreds of migrants have lost their lives in an attempt to migrate from Libya into Europe through unsafe means.
