Almost 100 Nigerian women stranded in Lebanon return home

Ninety-four Nigerian women who had been stranded in Lebanon have returned home after calls for evacuation to the Nigerian government.

These returnees were among 150 Nigerian women stranded in Lebanon, including the 30 women who had recorded a viral video, begging the Nigerian government to evacuate them on 30 July.

The returnees arrived in Lagos on 12 August, according to the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM). Although they tested negative for COVID-19, they are expected to self-isolate for 14 days.
