Laure Beaufils, de United Kingdom’s Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, express de British government’s backing for Nigerian government’s efforts to take action against human trafficking during a recent presentation on possible join hand action between de governments of Nigeria and de UK to handle de problems wey dey togeda with irregular waka abroad.
Beaufils remarked that, “Our law enforcement agencies have a longstanding and very fruitful relationship with their Nigerian partners: The National Crime Agency and Immigration Enforcement International have been working with The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP,) over a number of years to prosecute those that perpetuate trafficking of people. And we are exploring ways to increase this support to Nigeria,” according to Vanguard in Nigeria.

De Director General of NAPTIP, Julie Okah-Donli, thank de government of de United Kingdom for support in fighting human trafficking.
Beaufils stress say UK Prime Minister Theresa May’s assurance to take top position to end modern slavery and human trafficking and also highlight de need for everi one to join effort plus businesses, individuals, and government agencies.
Theresa May don generally take a “law and order” method to human trafficking but her government don also show interest in a more practical approach wey go force businesses make dem no use forced labour and make dem encourage decent work as option.
